Hello,

Two Quick questions.

A. Can the GigaByte G33M DS2R matx board run with 1066MHz RAM without having to be overclocked?
(Corsair Memory TWIN2X2048-8500C5D 2x1GB 240-Pin DIMM XMS2-8500)
(Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 S775 2.66ghz 4mb Cache 1333FSB)

B. Also, I am going with the Zalman CNPS8700 cooler as I don't think my PSU (Corsair HX520) would work well with the nt06.  Anyone experienced with that setup?
I have seen a lot of messing around with modding PSU fans etc. (this is my first build)

My overall computer spec can be found here (with UK costings if you are interested)

Thank you,

I haven't tested what you are proposing, but 1:1 is the slowest available memory timing for 1333 FSB processors.  Therefore it is highly likely you'd have to overclock the memory to work at 1333 FSB (or you could underclock the CPU....).

I have the same memory with a E6850 and runs at 1333. I didn't do anything except
adjust the memory timing.
The bios had 5-5-5-18 and I just changed  to 5-5-5-15

Good to know, but is it possible to run the RAM at the native 1066MHz, or will I have to run it at 1333MHz? (and get the overclocking risks)

Thanks Smiley

(It will be in an SG01 case)

It will run at 1333 without any risks.
