Hi all...
Craig veery nice project, you can be proud about it...
well, what kind of cd/dvd drives did you use?
i also call a rogue as my own and want to do some modifications... as you surely know, the rogue only have two 5.25" slots... thats not much... so, i would do something like you, but i need the right drives... i haven't found anything like this yet

Craigbru, I have to give you massive props on this build, a friend linked me to it today and I gotta say I can't get enough. I don't agree with everything you did, but you log was great. Someone who actually read through part of it (sorry I just skimmed, wanted to get to the rest of the pics :X ) said you were at nVision, where were you seated?

Thanks for the kind words! It was definitely one hell of a build. Even now, I wish I would have done a few things differently myself, but you live and learn. I indeed was at Nvision. I was sitting in row D1. The Rogue was there for a short while, and then it was moved over to the CPU magazine display area. I plan on being back next year with a new build!

Well, I'm not quite ready to start yet, but I can give you a preliminary concept sketch, and feature rundown... Introducing Duality...  So, what makes this thing so special? Well, for one, there will be 3 separate systems in here. A mATX board for the main system, a pico-ITX for system monitoring and control, and laptop components that will act as a dedicated game server. There will also be a 16 port gigabit switch, dual 120.3 radiators in separate loops, projective capacitive touchscreen and 12.1" LCD, room for 5 3.5" hard drives, and a pair of SSD's, all hot swappable, and the ability to swap any part in less than 30 seconds. Those features are just a taste of things to come, and that certainly doesn't cover it all. Stay tuned! |

The basement is 90% completed. I'm actually working on the bathroom right now, and after that, will be my office/shop. Of course I'm impatient. I'm really looking forward to having a dedicated work space!

Just a nice workshop. Workbenches all the way around, and great lighting. I need someplace to store all my tools, and parts. I'm also looking at setting up something to take video of me working. Lol. It's also going to be easy to clean. Aluminum dust gets everywhere! |
