Supporting The Latest and Greatest; Supporting the Oldest and SlowestI agree with the above statement, support for the older devices is nice and in most case's is needed, however and its quite a big however it would be nice if the latest piece of hardware worked fine. I know this would mean closer support/communication between the hardware manufacture and the software maker but its one thing along with wireless support (you could say the two are the same problem) that is needed in the linux community. Slowly but surely both ends of the spectrum will be addressed until then most people will have to make do with frustrating problems.
