New parts arrived Friday. The case, power supply and mainboard are new - the rest of the parts are coming from a parts shuffle and cleaning of the home office. Mainboard and power supply have been bench tested with the E8400 and memory (quikc test for DOA - pass so far). Since I want this setup to last a few years I am taking my time at this and will be doing some metal work and painting with the case - FUN! Basicly this will be along the lines of the ). This project will be like the H2O QPack2 but with fans instead (I want to see if I can do just as good without water cooling.)

Metal work on the case is done.
1. Removed a bit of metal so that the power supply cord will clear.
2. Added a place for a 60mm fan on the front right and left side of the case (one for the hard drive and one for the GPU)

After that I gave the aluminum a few coast of dark mist silver paint. Fan controller, sound materials and some purple LEDs are coming tonorrow so I should be able to work on it in the evening or once I get done with the noght shift on Thursday.

Edit 4-26-08

Well this lovely winter weather just will not leave this year (where the heck is this global warming.) As a result I have been stalled at the painting stage waiting for the weather to warm up so that I can paint outside. The high for today is not going to make it above 40, all last week we had some warmer weather - but humidity of 60%+ and rain.
