Looking at my friends computer setup, he has a windows xp sp2 machine with a shared printer attached. He has 3 laptops 2 running Vista Home Premium and one running XP. All machines are on the same work group. However the Vista laptops don’t see the shared printer. Anyone got any ideas on this? They have not installed SP1 yet.

Guessing the Vista system will probably query you to install the drivers locally versus download them from the serving PC as is normally done between two XP PCs.

funny you should say that....

1 vista computer sees the printer, but won't install it, the other does not see it Smiley
