I was cleaning up my room and found my old Cobalt Cube enclosure and thought I'd offer it on this forum before I sell the enclosure on ebay. This would be perfect for your next mini-itx project. The case is transparent which is pretty cool. Originally the light in front would flicker when the hd is active.

Theres nothing broken in the case. The metal cage of course fits inside the transparent portion of the enclosure. Includes Ethernet cables and the pads for the foot of the server. The white long thing is the light for the enclosure.

I can't find any specs on the system but heres a link to an ebay post with more information about what it was. http://cgi.ebay.com/Raqport-QUBE-3-alt-2-GIG-RAM-3-0-GHZ-2x-250GB-RAID-NEW_W0QQitemZ160237546111QQihZ006QQcategoryZ51215QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'm looking to sell this thing for 50.00 but feel free to make an offer maybe we can work something out.

I've been looking for one of these for ages! Any chance of the innards? Where are you located, and how much should I be looking at for shipping to Australia?

EDIT: What's the internal dimension? I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Will it fit an ITX board? Also, the ebay site just claims to have an interface like the Qube - it's nothing like it, hardware wise. A better site would have been wikipedia ^_^ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobalt_Qube

This server was actually a backup of a cluster, so i already took the internals and switched it with parts to the other Qubes. I'm located at San Diego, California. I will have to check with a local shipping company to find out the rate of costs for shipping this item and post back to you.

Dimensions are:
17 1/2cm x 17 1/2cm Height is 18cm

Notes:
Quickly looking at other motherboards on www.mini-itx.com showed that it it will be a snug fit getting it in. Thats if you use the metal enclosure that came with the Cobalt Qube but if you plan to go ahead and make your own then the skys the limit.

So those are the internal dimensions of the inner metal chassis? I would be putting an ITX board in there (170x170mm), and I see you've already had a quick look over them. As you can imagine I want to be absolutely sure - 5mm clearance is a little snug! If you can double check that for me it would be great. Feel free to PM me if you want a more private atmosphere
