Was just looking at that on Reuters and was searching for a better more detailed article to post.

I've liked the Turion X2s (unlike the Desktop Phenoms) they're very powerful especially for the price.  But they still lagged pretty far behind the Intels in the realm of battery-life.  Have they gotten any more efficient on that level ?  Unlike "Centrino" however their specifications don't mandate certain levels of power-consumption for the entire laptop.  So that places them at an "unfair" disadvantage.  I guess the reason why they don't develop their own version of the "Centrino" specifications is because it raises the pricing point of the overall product so much; due in part to engineering costs.
