Enjoy the time in the lime light if everything goes like I hope this weekend I will be upgrading my Quad going to retire my Shuttle for a while. I have everything I need for a major upgrade

New Cruncher

NZXT Rogue Red
Intel Q6600 G0
G.Skill 4gb 1066mhz
Seasonic 700watt
Samsung 500gb Sata
LiteOn DVD rw
DFI LanParty Jr P45
2 Nvidia 8800gts

I hope to get 14k per day from this setup running 2 GPU clients and 1 SMP
With my NAS that should push my output over 15k ppd which I hope to have online before the end of this holiday weekend Smiley

Oh, you Smiley Sounds like fun

I've been putting off a major upgrade for a few years now. I simply dont do enough demanding tasks or games to slow my current PC down. Folding is pretty much the heaviest task my PC handles, and I enjoy it greatly, but not enough to lay down the money on a GTX260 or anything like that. Hopefully Fallout 3 or Spore can justify an upgrade Wink

Edit: Wow, the 8800GT is $110 this weekend at newegg with free shipping and a game included! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133232
That would be great for folders with money to spare...those should be worth about 3000ppd right?

The 8800GT should be good for close to 5k over clocked the 8800gts that I got for newegg cost me 160 each quantity discount and with a 20 dollar mail in rebate so cost was actually 150 each with free shipping. They should net around 6k each over clocked they are dual slot but that also provides better cooling which for folding would be beneficial, Those 8800gts are still available with the rebate until the 31st but the free shipping has expired here is a link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125079

Actually I did spring for a video card this past weekend. ASUS 4850 open-box on newegg for $135 was just too good to pass up. I know the current folding client doesnt take full advantage of it yet, but when it does it should be awesome Smiley
Also got ahold of another 3.4ghz pentium d at work to SMP with. Still wont catch you though Tongue

Actually I want to get a Core2 Duo for it along with maybe a Nvidia 8800GT or 8800GS and an A/M cooler so that it can fit inside the case and use it as a Media PC/and cruncher. All I need is the processor, DVDrw drive video card, and video card cooler. So I hope it will not be down long when I finally make the switch over to the new rig. Have to love recycling equipment especially when it as nice as the Shuttle SG33G5 Smiley
