Always good to have an ole timer back.

On another note I'm being shipped to India on the 9th of Aug, to work on a few projects by the company I work for. So I'll go dead, cause I can't leave the boxes running for the 8 weeks I'll be away.

Keep up the good work guys.

Thanks cngn,

It's nice to hear from an old friend.  I left without notice but I don't do Goodbys well.

Came back to try the GPU client.  Runs my quad core box at 272 Watts = about $25 US dollars per month but really racks up the points.

I will now pray for India.  The country will never be the same after you live there for two months.

You know if you were running the linux clients you could remote administer the boxes only thing you would not be able to do is if a power outage shut them off you could not turn them back on. With ssh you could stop start the clients as needed along with rebooting the box if required. That is how I control my quad and NAS box that I fold with they are both running linux and I do everything over ssh remotely. It was just a thought to allow you to continue to fold while on your business trip as always the team can use every point Smiley

Yeah I remote control my boxes most times (heh it's not only Linux that can do that) Just that 8 weeks is a long enough time for me to not risk electrical / fire problems, while no one's at home.
