Can anybody recommend a very good HTPC keyboard?  Are the dinovo's from Logitech considered the best?

What do you consider to be an "HTPC" keyboard? What special attributes? Personally, I use an ADESSO WKB-4000US on my HTPC and it is just a plain old keyboard but it does everything that I could want. The only thing that makes it in any way special is that it is totally wireless and incorporates a laptop touch pad in the same tiny housing. In fact it looks very much like the keyboard and touchpad you'd find on any low-to-midrange laptop. The wireless range is good and I have no problem running the computer from 10-12 feet away.

Thanks, I'll look into the ADESSO keyboard.  I'm looking for something where the mouse is integrated into the keyboard so that a regular separate mouse isn't necessary.  Thanks.

You might find this review interesting:

Personally, I would have preferred a trackball over the touch pad on the keyboard I presently use -- I use big old wired Creative trackballs on my three other computers and am so used to them that I'm totally clumsy when using a regular mouse and even worse with a touchpad. If I ever hear that Creative is discontinuing trackballs I'm going to have to buy several spares as self defense.

well i went out and bought one of the new logitech dinovo mini's. it's tiny to say the least, has a well laid out mouse setup and Fn keys etc, backlight is good although goes out a tiny bit too soon, battery life is imense and for HTPC work the things is perfect and can even be used with enough ease for msn, forums etc etc. best purchase i've made in many a year in all honesty. after using this, even if it did set me back $160, i'd defo buy another or look into their future models

Ya, I was actually looking at the dinovo minis and they really look nice.  Also, reviews of it have been very positive.  The only downfall is the orbital price!

£70 is quite a lot for a keyboard but i'd spend it again in a heartbeat. i was very indecisive and even with the good reviews was hesitant. now i have it though, i can't understand how it isn't such a high-demand product

the di novos are nice. I personally have the the ms wireless entertainment keyb/ms 7000. The media center launcher, controls, mini touchpad etc are handy. However, it must be said, its ergonomics are a bit weird, you wouldnt want to hammer out a novel on it :p

Theres a backlit 8000 version, which is a bit pricier.  Ive seen the 7000 set I have for $80 AUD... which is about 30 squid Smiley

LOL. that was the other one that I was looking at.  The 7000s and 8000s look very nice.  If they only came in black.

I treated myself to the MS Wireless Entertainment Superduper 8000. I really like it. I had the MCE keyboard before and this is so much better; thinner, lighter, easier to use touch-sensitive pad, better range (I can now game using the BT wireless mouse from my sofa 13ft away).

Here's a comparison pic between the DiNovo and the WE8000

I use the apple BT for my HTPC.  Work well and looks great.  You wont find anything smaller, more functional or better looking, IMO.  You will find things that are significantly cheaper, though.
