Hello friends,

maybe you faced the same problems or know the solution (I've checked few topics here but without result).
When the PC is plugged into 240V the orange ligh is ON (the POWER button) but it is unable to switch on PC - completely dead.
I faced this problem before but I was lucky to switch on the machine after few attempts or unplug PSU and plug again from wallet.

Now it is completely dead. I do not see any burned part in PSU unit or motherboard. (Motherboard was replace in Biostar service as RMA few months ago because of problem with onboard and later PCI-E VGA signal)
No HW part was pulled out or changed.

MY ATTEMPTS:
I've changed BIOS battery cuz orginal was 2,7V only, but no result.
PC was all the time switched to wallet after the last correct SHUTDOWN. I've tried another wallets. Pressed the POWER button for >10 sec.
Change Jumper 11 from 2-3 to 1-2 pin for few secs when during PC was unplugged.

Thank you for advice.

You can test your PSU by unplugging the long 20- or 24-pin connector from the motherboard, then look for a GREEN wire and a BLACK wire in it. There should be only one green one, and a black one right next to it.

Use a paperclip to short out the green lead to the black one - your PSU should start up and run until you remove the paperclip. (This is what happens when you push the power button.)

So PSU starts (20-pin ATX connector) when I've pulled out ATX PSU connector from mainboard and GREEN and BLACK wires are connected. I think also both HDDs are spinning (CPU fan and case fun were OFF).
I've foung a schema and measured all voltage - each voltage is according ATX standards.

Do you have some other tips what can be wrong? (maybe problem with the POWER switch? ;-)

That would be my next suggestion, actually. I have no CLUE where on the IDEQ mainboard the power switch attaches, but when I do ATX builds, I've used a coi, screwdriver, etc to short out the leads where it plugs in.

That'll tell you if the motherboard is still doing its job, or if it's in the switch somewhere.

You gotta hope for the simple, cheap answers first Wink

So, definitive answer if it is possible to order mainboard NC51G-S2 for iDEQ 250N from BIOSTAR Europe Technical support:
"Unfortunately we are not possible to do service for this Product anymore. The production of this product is closed long time and all warranty times expired already.
Maybe you can find a used low cost product in the market."

Link for BIOSTAR Europe Technical support:
Biostar Microtech Netherlands BV

Do you maybe know how to find what RAID controller is onboard? I need it to find another mainboard with the same controller in order to connect discs in RAID (stripping) to get data from it and forget about Biostar unhappy story (4 years, 2-times mainboard replacement needed.)

After long time of iDEQ 250N dust collecting I put it to good technician guy.
RESULT: Power Supply unit is broken (some part of it) together with power on circuit on mainboard (the power switch ich technically OK). He connected another "temporary" power switch and another PSU to mainboard to get a possibility tu start XP and get data from RAID.
