Its good for now unless your site activity increases, but when I first came over to take a look at the early site, the speed was had major issues at times.

It always takes a lot of tweaking to both maintain and improve site performance.

Two sites Ive been woking on have gone thru some major changes, and I know the level of hard work it takes both to get there and maintain it.

Do you mean early as in back in November time, or early as in relatively recently?

Can you let me know when the slow down occurs and also what constitutes as a slowdown please? i.e it takes longer than a minute to load the page?

You should have the page loaded in x seconds with x queries on the bottom of each page, which should help with the debugging on my end.

They havn't been on the site in years and have other more important concerns than Sudhian.

The site is run by myself and Babar now, along with all the moderators.

Just curious as I thought that was the case when Babar contacted me.

Who owns the site?

Its not my position to disclose that information.

Either ask Jasper or Babar.

Barber is a lot like many of us these days with other things in his life going on and he's about  once in a while. As far as him posting what you see is about it.

He recently got married and moved to a new Job.

So I think life has taken over for him, much the same as it did for Jasper.

I talked to Jasper a few years ago but yes, we've all had major changes in our lives that have changed priorities and perspectives.

Cant get over the number of guests onsite versus actual members.

In the old days the numbers were either reversed or much closer to one another.

Unfortunately that is the problem at the moment.

We need to find ways to get those guests to sign up and post on the site.

Its an issue at many sites these days as many guests just dont become members.

Established sites already have large memberships so its not an issue but new sites and sites in transition are having a tough time.

Do you think guests might get involved with a poll or questionaire that might indicate what it would take for them to join the site?

There is no harm in trying that option.

I tried it at a new site a few years ago and it worked very well.

We found some things people wanted and changed the site focus a bit and we added a large number of members.
