Firefox 4 Gains Features, Loses Charm

Just a matter of days after Microsoft released Internet Explorer 9, Mozilla has come forward with its newest browser, Firefox 4. It has been three years since the release of Firefox 3.0, and during that time a lot has changed in the browser landscape. Mozilla's latest software answers the call to be sleeker and faster.

Firefox 5 doesnt dissapoint and with releases speeding up we should see better resource usage and speed in future releases.

Using Firefox 5 with both Windows and Kubuntu.

I'm not sure I like the new release schedules that Google Chrome and Firefox are following.

It doesn't encourage a business to support use there browsers as most managers feel that a release that is stable for a long time on one version number is better than one that changes every 3 months.

Welcome back to the forums btw.

Thanks tino!

My work schedule has been crazy and with my responsibilities at other sites easing I thought it was time to relax.

I agree as I hate the present release schedule for both Chrome and Firefox.

Firefox fell behind though but theres no reason to go crazy.

A more structured approach would of suited them better. Some of the new features they are releasing are good tho.

My Browser of choice and preference still happens to be Opera , although Chrome is fast becoming the other choice if thats not available.

Totally agree,a structured approach is needed and I also like Opera as I tried it recently after a long hiatus.

Firefox for me is the most comfortable.
