No nothing like that in the works that I know about , but it could happen one day or so I believe it could .  If the technology could prevent texting in a moving car and phone time was charged by the min. and not part of any package could it make saver drivers out of us ?

With all the distractions in today's automobiles such as our GPS, radios and yes even the kids  it would be one less factor  to worry about .  The mobile phone has become possibly the biggest distraction of our time and a danger to all of us on the road today. How many time have you seem a young person trying to text and drive a never seeming to realize what the traffic around them is doing , light turn green and they sit there trying to finish off a text message and never moving along , or that person in rush hour traffic that has a phone in one ear and digging though papers with someone at the office or a school mate and doing everything but driving.

Yes, too many times do I see someone in a very expensive car, holding a cell phone to his head, taking a turn while accelerating from a stand still, all at once. I always try to figure out why they thought a Bluetooth headset was an option way to expensive for their € 50.000 car, but a set of rims for € 2.000 wasn't. Or did they still not hook it up to the onboard satnav ? When I had a built-in satnav in my previous car, it was set up in 2 minutes and it made many things a lot easier.

Now I don't have anything to help me pick up my phone so when I'm driving I don't. It's not that hard, some people just think a missed phone call is the end of the world. Hello, it's not 1986 anymore...
