No matter how much new hardware we have we all tend to keep older systems for other purposes or for nostalgia.
Ive been a collector for a long time and I also keep older systems that I was fond of over the years like my P4 3.4ghz system.

Whats the oldest hardware youre still using?

For me its a pentium 90 system with 64mb that I still use for older gaming and running older apps.

I have collector systems like Apple IIs but dont use them everyday.

Core 2 duo, 2.0ghz, one of the first Conroe chips to come out. So that makes it about 5 years old now.

I wish I had the foresight to keep my older computers around, like the Commodore 64 that got me started. Been thinking of buying one off of Ebay for nostalgia reasons.

I have an old K6-II still in daily use here.

Its actually still got all the old components from when it was first bought back in 1998 apart from the cd drive that died a while back.

Yeah. I don't like to keep old equipment around, if I upgrade machines I don't keep old stuff lying around although sometimes I will keep certain components and re-use them in the "new" PC. I think my CD drive is like 10 years old.

I had an old AMD Thunderbird cpu in a box for years, until I threw it out recently. Also found a 100mb hard drive in box somewhere, threw it out too. But I really regret throwing out that Commodore.

You need to come by my place as Ive got alot of older stuff.

Ive got a large video card collection and Im one of the five most avid 3DFX collectors around.

I can build a system from any era with the parts I have.

Love tinkering around with the older systems and I havent found a decent C64 yet either.

Contact me next time and let me know what you have as I might have given you a better deal.

Always looking for older stuff.

In 2007-2008 when we were short on cash I sold alot of stuff for over $10000

Much of it was collector items and one 3DFX voodoo5 5500 pci card went for over $245

I use a variety of older pcs, from pentiums,p2s,p3s,A64,P4 for gaming, servers, and other uses.

I use Linux on most of them and my older systems fly.
