i gave my wife a logitech mm50 a while ago. She loved it. Its modern successor is the S715i: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/speakers-audio/ipod-mp3-speakers/devices/7209

Although there are a lot of good reviews of the new Jawbone unit, the "Jambox".
