 Cool

Playing the beta for a few days now and I'm impressed!
Sure there are still some little bugs here and there but the infantry combat/gameplay is very nice, you have a good control over your character, you can take cover behind almost every object, blind fire and so on.
The fighting is intense! The weapons feel very nice and every weapons feels differently and the balance between different classes is good. When you carry a heavy MG34 for example, you run/move a bit slower and you put your bipod on many objects, it's possible to shoot it when carrying but can't really aim well and the bullet spread is pretty big of course.
Bolt rifles are really nice for long distances and very precise and fun (you carry a gun for close quarter fights if needed..).

Graphics are really not that bad, there are many objects and big maps, much more objects and bigger maps then Battlefield bad company 2. The buildings in those maps are maps by itself! many rooms and to explore!
Sound is very good with authentic weapons sounds and funny comments your soldier make in certain situations which make you chuckle.

There could be an enemy behind any window shooting you!

It's pretty demanding for your system, although it runs very good on mine.

Been a while since I enjoyed a pc game as much as this title, sure BFBC2 wasn't bad but the learning curve is not really there, and when unlocking all the weapons, there aren't many things to get you intersted (in my case).

And lots of new maps/pathes and new weapons and vehicles coming some made by the game maker others by the community, a real pc title, which you don't see much anymore these days and a cheap price ($35), if you search good maybe even cheaper.

damn can't spam in the BF3 thread now  Cry

Maybe, but when you play you don't have time to look at the ground Wink it's very intense and you must have 4 eyes. Often you don't see any enemy&you are dead.. or a nate is thrown at you blowing your body in pieces.. (gore is also nice).

And this game will probaly another game after 1 or more years, knowing tripwire they will keep supporting/patching it.

There where some bugs and many crashes the first week or so, most of them fixed by now.

btw, there are coming mods also (free); Iron Europe: 1914-1916, In Country: Vietnam, and Rising Storm (Pacific from 1942 to 1945), the last 1 should come out pretty soon.

Also, Ro2 got great detail, everyone goes crazy about BF3 but look at this:

Almost every sack or stone is a seperate 3d model in Ro2, not just some texture.

But really I'm not really a graphic whore, but I love small details. The ground is just a texture, in my eyes with BF3 not really better and I don't see a problem with the ground really in RO2.

And since I'm principal from nature, and my dislikes with big game studio's these days, where the main concern is making money.

I mean there won't come much free stuff later on, probaly some payed add-ons, no mod tools, and so on with BF3.

So main point, it feels much better to pay a small company like TripWire. Not many of those left these days.

Not saying I won't buy BF3, but I'm not in a hurry either.

That looks a really good game! At least from the graphics point of view, it might even tempt me back to PC gaming, although if I'm honest that is rather unlikely.

Since latest patch, it's really great, big patch though (4 gig!), they redone all maps so you get better fps.
