hi,
I have 3 shuttles running on my network that I vpn to from home. one of them is always on. they're all running win7.
it's easy to put them to sleep, but how to remotely wake them up? the three are: sx58j3, sp35p2, ss56gv3.
I've searched the net but there seems not to be a single easy solution.

is there a utility that would let me wake them up by say calling their names or ips? any hints appreciated.
thanks.

Just an idea but did you try the wake-on-LAN function in the BIOS? I believe it is also tricky to set up, though, and more likely to work with the machine powered down completely.

Just to let everyone know, much later, the solution that works for me is:

EMCO Wake on Lan - Free, residing as of 9.20.11 at:

For linux users there is also this package that works very well when using the MAC address of the target computer.
