EmbarrassedHi guys.I somehow had the add ons disabled on IE8.How do I reenable them?Remember,I`m not real smart on some operations.A help note said to shut down the browser, but the instructions,to me,were not real clear.
Thanks in advance

Embarrassed Hi daboggyman.I tried that. All I got was pretty much nothing.
Could I remove IE8,and then download it again?Would that do the trick?I am using XP Home with SP3.
Thanks for the reply.

In the Manage Add-ons window, select Toolbars and Extensions. There you can see the toolbars and extensions that you have currently installed. Select the add-on you want to modify. If the toolbar or extension is disabled, in the lower-right part of the window you will see the Enable button, just like in the screenshot below.

Also here's a help link Leo  http://www.vista4beginners.com/Manage-Internet-Explorer-8-Add-ons

:)Hi Daboggeyman.Nice link.Maybe I should have mentioned in the first post what problem that I am having.(dumb misteak on my part).
When I use the start button to bring up the start menu it comes up fine. However, when I click on email, for instance awindow opens as if I have no internet.Same when I click on the internet box.
However,as you can see,I can connect to the net. What I have to do.is to go to a web site that I CAN access(windows update)and THEN click on the favorites button and I can then connect to whatever sites I have listed on "favorites".Is that any help as to what I need to reenable? How some of the stuff got DISABLED?Have NO idea.
Thanks.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

Silly question have you tried a system restore yet ? I have never had a problem enabling add on's so I might have to do some checking to see what the fix might be.

;DHi Daboggeyman.Well,I got things sorted out over the weekend.Turned out the VIDEO CARD went south, and took its rage out on the rest of the OS.Did a format and reinstalled everything, and now all is well.
Many thanks for all your help and advice.Am slowly learning more, just wish I had MORE grey cells that better understood computers.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.
