Just wondering how many of you still use a standard Desktop? I still use one for all those heavy task because its easier to keep cool under heavy loads and lots of room to work and add extras.

me, planing on upgrading from a shoebox to a bootbox Roll Eyes

It can get toasty editing graphics/video & 3d rendering in a small box.

 Ya it can K64 I been working with videos transfers a lot lately, couple of my buddies build mini ATX box's and went back to standard towers after a few months.

I use an iMac but I remote onto several other 'desktop' chassis.  They are effectively file & print servers which I use for security testing.  Day to day though, the iMac has it!

 Hello combat.monkey and welcome to our little piece of the net  been awhile since we had anyone here working with a mac nice choice . Thanks for your input , thing with all the mobile devise's lot of people forget the old school pc 's still hold it's place in the computing world.

Me! Last year I upgraded 2 mid-towers for my kids as the CPUs were taking a hammering for just loading up a browser. Admittedly, those old CPUs were AMD Thunderbirds (if you guys remember those days) :-O

I want my own PC - unfortunately it might be Windows based but as I work in Dev, maybe I will try Linux OS
