Another one bites the dust. Not sure if this was the correct way though, and I doubt things will be great now suddenly in that country.. it could become another country in chaos with suicide bombings and so on..

A big mess it is in the M-east, that's for sure!

This was the first thing I seen this mourning when I got up , I figured Gadafi was hiding in Iran. I have seen reports one of his son's has been killed as well.

I meant to add that there was no confirmation yet that his son was in fact killed along with his father

People often forget how much of a mess (including "The Wild Wild West") the US was in it's early (17 and 1800s) history.  Multiple factions (including those from Europe) were vying for resources and power.  Even as these struggles began to conclude with a clear winner by the late 1700s, from then on and through the 1800s, personal small arms for protection was still a prudent necessity rather than a preference or choice.  All the nations of the "Arab Spring" will undoubtedly continue to struggle with issues of security.  Of course, technology has certainly progressed since the aforementioned times; transportation, military and communications. So revolution for them, hopefully won't take 80-100 years.  (although this will be an on-going thing regardless)  As a result of their successes, all governments including Saudi Arabia are feeling the pressure to either begin change, or BE changed.

Yea but after the invastion of Iraq,  things started to get really messy, and as with Saddam, 1 day they are big friends, the other the big enemy with our media doing anything to influence our opinion.

So now it's also as you said mainly about resources & power, nothing new yes.. even supporting rebels which are no good guys, even close, but they are  of good use.

Not saying Gadaffi is a good guy, there just ain't a good side, as with Saddam a dog keeper, without the dogs are on the loose.

Even so you right, with time, everything can be solved.. I hope it's worth it in the end.

Well looks like they have gotten the last of the Gadhfi men , so wonder if the girls or his wife will be next or left alone?

In war, facing the enemy, shooting him dead. In another situation it could be your best friend.
