I've just intstalled Windows XP profesional as a dual boot on an Athlon PC..
So far most things are fine.
However there are a couple of issues which I was wondering if anyone else had suffered.

Ok the minor one first.

Video quality from the webcam seems much worse in CUseeme 5 under XP than it does in Win98 SE. It's not a problem with MS Netmeeting however.

Second issue appears to be a bug..

Whilst trying to adjust the video cam settings, it keeps locking up, particularly if adjusting the brightness setting. I've tried all the usual reinstallation etc, tried the VIA USB filter driver and the 4-in-1 v4.37 drivers too, no difference.

System information:

Mobo : ASUS A7V-E.. VIA KT133 chipset.
Webcam : Logitech 3000 Pro   v6.01 quickcam XP drivers intalled.

Anybody got any ideas?

in case it helps this is what I have in the error log..

Wich logitech cam do u use? I'm having no problems. I use Via 4in1, don't use the USB filter from via, and Quickcam software version 6.0.
I don'r use CUseeme, though, I use netmeeting.

Try reinstalling the drivers.

I had a similar problem with the Intel Pro Video PC Camera. Always locking up as soon as I would launch an application for the camera. (In Photoshop, if I'd import from a WIA Camera, few seconds after the image from the camera was displayed, it would freeze. Same thing with Intel's software or in Explorer.)
Since I have a USB mouse using 500mA, a USB joystick using 100mA, a USB modem using 400mA, the Camera using another 500mA, and 3 hard drives, two 80mm Antec fans, a burner, a DVD, etc, I thought my 300W Antec power supply wasn't powerful enough. In fact, everytime I would have all of my USB peripherals pluged in my comp, it would freeze at a time or another (often on the screen saver).
So I tried a 450 Enermax power supply, and now with everything plugeg-in it never freezes. And I can use my camera in Photoshop without any problems.
