Shall I install PCI latency patch under windows? Or shall I operate the batch file under DOS mode. Will somebody please explain me the exact procedure in a simple way. The explanations in the web page are not clear. Thanks.

I hope to have a simpler solution in the next version of the patch, namely a self-installing EXE file.

The batch file is meant to be installed from inside Windows, not from DOS mode.

just double click the setup_9x.bat or 2k.bat depending on your os, the file looks like it has a little cog in a white box with a blue header.........

The PCI Latency Patch is fine for all OSes, although a few motherboards have problems on XP. If someone is claiming otherwise, let me know!

Hey, luck O The Irish, the newest versions of all my patches use a single batch file called SETUP.BAT. I got tired of answering emails like, "I'm running Windows XXXX. Which batch file should I use?"

But, even that isn't enough. It seems that unzipping files is too complicated nowadays. All the hip developers are using self-extracting installers. I will write my own such installer program Real Soon Now.
