Ordered about 2 wees ago, was told by email that it was shipped on 9/11, received on 9/19. Was packed nicely(for$100.00 shipping, it better be). The actual Altium iner box is smaller than Shuttle51's. Actual Altium looks very nice. It has a very clean and flat from all sides look.  Dimension wise I don't see any difference to Shuttle 51, hight is not even notecebly taller. I can tell alredy that I will have to sell my ShuttleSS51, I like this one more. The inside cables from power supply and front panel are not connected to the mother board unlike, Shuttle51. Cause to install the hard drive the power supply needs to be swing open. Alot of thumb screws are used and they all have a plastic rings over them, I guess not to screach the finish.  It includes the Shuttle FS51 motherbard manuel, but the driver's CD dosen't look to be by Shuttle, Soldam made. One surprise so far is that the front vent is just a vent to surcilate air, a fan would not fit in it. There is not removable tray for drives, only for harddive, whic is not a big deal, causeafter you swinge on to the side the powesupply there is alot moe room to work with than the Shuttle 51.Also from what I see the AGP and the PCI cards are alot more easyer to install cause, there is just enough more room for convinence also on Shuttle 51 there is little flip part that swings, which holds the cards, which I can't stand. On Altium there is a top cover which unscrews, it's alot more convinient. As most of you know it dosn't include the heat sink, I ordered Zalman 5500Cu P4 CPU Silent Fan Heatsink, it's on it's way. Until it irrives I can't boot. I will install all the stuff in my sigature from my ShutteSS51, exept the 5.25 drives will be: the top one is the Black LG 32x10x40x16 COMBO DRIVE and the bottom one is Black LITE-ON 48x12x48 CDRW. I also have a BlackPHILIPS DVD+RW dvd burner dvd-rw dvd-r, I might install it instead the LG combo drive, right now it is in a external enclouser, cause I use it with all of my other PC's and notebook. So right now I'am just waiing for the heatsink. If any one has any questions feel free to ask.

Sam,

You the man!  I've loved the look of the Altium since I first saw it, and I'd totally go for it if it wasn't the most expensive computer and motherboard setup I've ever seen.  I've never done watercooling, but I could get the brand new Shuttle AR45GT/R Motherboard and an Antec Full Tower case with Koolance system installed for LESS than the Altium.  A frightening thought.  =/

However, I've been without a secondary PC for about four months... ever since my Soyo MB died.  Soyo never did help me, but props to New Egg.  I explained the situation and they went above and beyond AGAIN.  Point is, if I could get a Shuttle SS51G for my primary system... and move my AMD to a secondary position... that would be SWEET!  =)

How much do you think your going to ask for the Shuttle?

I'am planning to RMA my Shuttle for few small reasons, hopefully they will replace it for a new one, which I will sell on Ebay at starting bid of $250. I think, it will go up to $290.00 from what I seen on Ebay. So far that's what I'am planing.

Oh man... Ebay.  Nevermind.  You can get them from New Egg for $313 shipped, but people are paying $290 + $30 shipping on Ebay.  Freaks!

Sam good move, but could you do me a favour, take the ICE cooler from your '51 and see how it fits inside the Soldam case, these that back fan exhaust that I can't feel could be use (with a bit of cutting and that) to work with the ICE cooler in it!

PS
Thought about using one of the TMD fans in the front, would look sweet with the grill removed!!!!

It looks like the Heat Pipe would fit, I just don't want to remove the factory fan to actualy try. I can't say that in my opinion that I like the Heat Pipe that much. I would reather choose my own heatsink, I don't think anyone sells it on it's own.
awx: Altium on its own with shipping was about $500.00

Sam, sounds sweet.  It's about 50% over the SS51G in price, but still deal if it offers what you want.  I have been dreaming about a Soldam case for a while now.  Yen vs. Dollar, up/down? I can never remember when the exchange rate is the best.  Anyway, keep us updated on your system.

Thanks GreatBambino for posting my pictures. There should be one more of the front of the Altium.  My Altium will go underneath my PS2 where my Shuttle SS51g was.

I have instaled the Heat sink. Everything works great. Installing AGP video card was much easyer than on ShutleSS51G. The Lite-On 42X Burner is great, but for some reason it only goes to 32X, it' probably because I need 48X CD-R's.  The front vent is great, I could feel air coming out, not too strong.

Where did you buy it from?  It looks cool, but when I searched for it I just came up with a bunch of japanese sites.  Also can you get it in the US?
