I'll bet you that ½ or more of the googlebar users have no idea about folding, and that they are doing it...

Oh I'm sure that's the case, but it's good for the science and they'll never notice it so what the heck. It kinda sucks on the competitive front, but I keep reminding myself that it's not really about the competition (I'm very, very competitive so it's hard).

ScutMonkey, The worst is that Google steals some potential members from our team... anyway, have a look at HardOCP, once we beat them we'll be in a good position to beat Google

Google has been seperated out of the standings as an "aggregate team". That coupled with us passing a couple teams, has put us at 46th!

Do you guys think they should have done that? Do you think Google's NOT a legitimate team?
I think they should have left them in the team standings and just pulled "Default" out. Google recruits just like a normal team does. They just happen to make it easier and have a bigger reach. I wonder if some of the other teams were throwing tantrums.

I'm sure many of the other teams were throwing tantrums. I don't read folding forum at standford much, but the bits and piece i have read are people complaining about stats updating to slow and google overloading them so forth and so on etc...
I look at it like this I enjoy the competition and teamwork, and the fact that it's being used for some good rather then just wasted on who's got the biggest folding is a great plus.
One thing that has surprised me greatly is: Sudhian is tiny compared to sites like Anand, overclockers, icrontic, and many more, yet were are a top 25 producer out of thousands and still growing. This says alot for the calibar of people and computers we have here. While I still don't like the site name, I do like the site and people very much. I think in time we will make the top 20 (and I will over take the dead kung-fu guy).
x586 Ya baby, it's groovie!
