Another order for a LG Combo drive version if you do one.  I'm surprised there isn't more interest in a LG version

I have a question, and I apologize in advance if it's already been asked but just how thick is the aluminum face?

I'm interested in the Pioneer Slot load plexi. Do you have any pics of the Aluminum one though?

the aluminium plate = 3mm (natural anodized)
the plexiglas plate = 4mm (clear plexiglas)

Put me in for another order but for a Alum Slot Load.

So that puts me with a #3 and #4.

BTW I can pay via paypal or money order, whichever is best.

I am in California, Bay Area  ZIP 94010

I think I might be ordering the wrong one.  I have an LG drive and I'm ordering #6.

Is that the right one?

Hi gt2i and Noj

i wrote an email last week to gt2ti as it was mentioned in the other thread I want just mention here the "would like to order also" request
that you can count them also.

I would like to order (if possible) one of each
1) without floppy PLEXIGLAS
2) without floppy ALUMINIUM

I'm interested in #2 and/or #6 however I have a couple of concerns/questions.

Will you be able to provide the cut-out pieces also in aluminum?  Example:  For #2 I would also want a rectangle of aluminum to fit into the hole in the face (I'll attach it to the CD ROM myself - doesn't need anything for button, just plain rectangle).  For #6 it needs an obviously smaller rectangle but I'd also love to have a small piece to fit into the opening for the button.  These "negative" pieces should be only slightly smaller than the hole they're fitting into (so they don't stick).  This way it's possible to keep a nice stealth appearance.

With a nice aluminum face I don't want to show a nasty biege or black CD/DVD ROM drive.

Please follow up with this info....

Also, what is the possibility of using 4 or 5mm aluminum instead of 3?  How much will it increase the costs?  I quite like the thickness of the stock face plates.  I know the bevel will not be possible at these low price points, so that much I'd just have to put up with.

i want a pioneer slotin aluminium

i suppose its not possible to change the layout, but if it is possible i would like to just have the slotin cutout without anyopenings
for power, reset or usb, firewire etc, i am planning to do a move of the powerbutton and resetbutton and ad an lcd, aswell as putting just 2 usb ports on the side of the computer instead... but i still want one even if its not possible

i got paypal, and live in sweden

cheers Daemon

If we don't get screws...

Does anyone know the thread count for the ones that came with XPCs?  I did find a place (McMaster-Carr) that sells Socket Cap Screws with hex sockets in case you can't find them locally.  Not sure if they ship outside the US.

Would you please check the McMaster site and let us know which, if any of their sizes are applicable?  For metric they provide the standard M# thread sizes and then the length.  Is 3x80 an M3?  Still doesn't help me with the length (I can check tonight when I get home of course, but I'd like to know in the meantime)
