I searched the forums, and I didn't find any links to a step-by-step guide for doing this mod.

And is it true that the mod do not work with the new zm80A-hp?

I about to order a few parts for my silencing project, so I thought it would be nice to have a heads-up on anything I
ought to know.

ZM80A's bolt positions are diffretnt from ZM80 and ZM50. To use ZM50 heatsink on the ZM80 base, you need to make  two holes to hold it.

Edit: I forgot to include the link Barbones.com

Thanks, Tarou, for the link It needs some updates (test on a R9700 Pro, and ZM80A-HP), and it is in French but I think babelfish and google give workable translations.
The mod can be done with the ZM80A-HP, but you can't use all the screws to fix the front plate. Anyway 2 screws are enough as it is pressed by the case (very important, the aluminium case participates to the cooling).
