Hi All,
Must admit the shuttle has suprised me - fast , almost silent and stable.

My System :  Shuttle SK41G
                    256mb PC2700 Ram (unbranded)
                    120gb Maxtor Diamondmax 9 HD
Pioneer DVR-104 Dvd Writer ( region free and write 2x on all media)
                    Ati All In Wonder 8500DV
                    Adaptec 2930CU SCSI Adapter
                    Floppy

O/S :             WinME (Games) / Win2k (MS Office & CD Writing) / WinXP (HTPC & DVD Ripping)

Software :    Catalyst 3.0 / Powerstrip / ATI DVD 7.6 / Region Killer / Nero 5.5.10
                    DVD Decryptor.

Connected:  Clarity WN-5220-S 52" LCD Rear Projector @ 800 x 600 (72HZ)
Compaq 40/80gb DLT SCSI Tape Drive (only turned on when needed)
                   Pioneer VSX-D2011 7.1 Reciever
Kef HT2005 Speaker Package + 2 extra Kef Eggs.

I havent got Theatertek yet but somone told me that ATI DVD 7.6 used
the same video decoder.

I will mess around with Zoomplayer and extra directshow filters etc
when I can be bothered, as I am getting excellent results for now
using the standard ATI software and the digital out from the 8500DV
breakout box.

All in all this PC has now got everything I need, although i am tempted to
upgrade to the All In Wonder 9700 when it is finally released in the UK.

Well Done Shuttle - I have always had tower systems with loads of
components and not had them running anywhere near as stable or
silent as this machine.

Regards

Good to hear some success stories... I'm thinking of doing the same but without the proj (for the moment... anyway!)...

How quiet is the box btw?

Hi,
the box is pretty quiet - the rear projection tv on the other hand is pretty loud as it is an industrial
display unit and has some fans whirring around in there......

But having said that - I am well pleased with the system - it just gets a little distracting
during quiet passages of a film as you  can then here the fans from the display. I had the same
sort of problem with my first plasma screen an NEC 3300 - will probably upgrade to another
plasma soon - but as i got the Display I have now for £350 + Vat from Ebay I think it was a pretty
good deal.

Anyway gotta go as I am answering this at work.

Regards
