I Found the MSI MS-6378X-L on NewEgg for about $55 ( http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=property&DEPA=0). Only drawback is no AGP, which I don't care about becasue I don't play games. Its also PC133, not DDR. But I have pleanty of PC133 laying around, which I prefer to use than buying DDR. Any other suggestions for a cheap small boards? or is this one of the best out there? I have an extra HD, Ram, and Drives laying around...all I need is a motherboard, CPU and case. I considered ITX, and still regularly look at mini-itx.com for ideas, but still slow and expensive for what it is.

I don't know how much it costs in America, but I think the Asus A7n266-vm is the same price (costs 50USD local) but offers greater performance and has more integrated features than the board listed above. It does use DDR which you may have to buy, but DDR266 prices have dropped to around 25-30 USD per 256mb stick so it shouldn't add too much to the cost.

Hello All, As of this time for micros your best bet would be an Biostar nForce2 with IGP GF4 MX integrated graphics next would be Abit NV7M nforce 420 chipset and third would be A7N266-VM nforce 220 chipset. All will out perform the Intel, SiS or Via options as far as integrated graphics quality. Regards, Szandor

Well if you're looking for cheap and are not opposed to a P4 for a processor the PC Chips M921L for $26 might be worth looking at. PC133, sound, LAN, AGP, microATX. The real deal, for a couple bucks more than the MSI, is the Biostar M7VIG PRO. It is a more feature rich choice, AMD XP solution, PC133 or DDR, 6 channel sound, LAN, AGP, USB 2.0 all in a microATX form factor. Personally I'd go for the Biostar M7NCG (Nforce2) for $108.

The Chaintech along with s Leadtek mATX nforce2 board have yet to be released, so the Biostar is the only nforce2 mATX board currently available.

nForce 2 can't be as cheap as the Asus A7n255-vm though... I don't think that RageRover is that interested in something that high-end. Chaintech's KT266A board might be pretty good though.

well of course if price is an issue that asus a7n266-vm is the best choice, however I wouldn't choose a kt266a chip board either, since the asus board has the full nforce audio (mcp-d souhtbridge) and I just don't like via when it comes to reliability although their kt266a was one of their best products...
