I'll second that.  Mark's contributions don't stop with just amazing statistical feats of folding either.  He has, by example and encouragement inspired a lot of our up and coming folding farm guys.  I could go on but then he'd have to blush when he read this.  So we'll leave it at, a warm thank you for all contributions large and small to Sudhian Folding.

I see a big 250K looming large in the headlights.

Yowzzzzaaa!!!!

YAY MARKF!!!!!!  And to think, only a few short months ago, we only saw you as a mod god - now you're doubly cool!  Way to go!  Have I used as many exclamation points as you?!?

Howdy, Everybody!

My apologies that I've been hiding under a rock;  I'm on a death march project to try to raise the next round of funding for our company, and I haven't had the time to come up for air until now.  It's probably going to stay crazy through next week, so I won't be able to post quite as often as I'd like to.  Oh, well, at least it's for a really worthy cause!

Anyway, Hot Damn!  We've finally reached that long-awaited milestone, so I'm guess I'm sitting on the point of a 100,000' long stake - Ouch!  Getting here is also a reminder of how everything's relative: if you check out the "top 1,000 users" page, you'll see that there are some new folks on the scene who are just blowing me away.  Hopefully, I'll get a chance to dip a toe in the Top 10 before they leave me in their wake - these folks are serious folders!

MrMod: Thank you for noticing, and for the nice post!  I keep looking over my shoulder, wondering when you're going to finish that stack of yours - I'll definitely have to watch out then!    Once again, great job on that kick-ass folding farm recipe of yours - I'm still hoping that if life ever gets sane again, that I can get back to mine, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you (I know you need it like another hole in the head, anyway)!

RogSmart: Hey, thanks a bunch!  I'll bet I've got another record - whaddaya' bet that I've got the highest debt ratio of anybody on the forum?!? As ShinySteve says, this is one addictive hobby!  It sure is a ton of fun, though - especially when it's shared with folks like you!  Keep up the sportscasts, Rog - we miss 'em!

Fall-Apart: Wow - thank you, sir!  I think the more appropriate description for me is that I'm the guy with the really short attention span!  I'm always lurching back and forth between hobbies, which is why I'm triply impressed with Folding.  No matter how far you've gone, there's always more to go, something else to try.  It certainly can get complex enough to stay interesting if you want it to, yet it can be coast-along simple, as well, for those times when you just need to kick back for a while and relax.  Throughout the mods and folding, though, the Sudhian Forum's been 100% of my inspiration - thanks to you all!

Colin: Ye Gads, isn't that enough?  Honestly, thanks to you, too!  I'm still hoping that you get the chance to start folding on those servers at work!  We still need to catch those durned Asusboards characters!

OK, Gang! After spending 18 hours in a spreadsheet today trying to knock out another budget, now it's time to knock down a drink or two and get some sleep!  Thanks again!

Have Fun!

well done Mark!  and he's gracious too  although ButchB has been the one to hold my hand thus far through my FF project, it is somewhat because you helped him so much.  it is like the old Reagan Trickeldown Theory

Hi Mark.

Just got back from holiday and saw that you've reached 100,000.
Well done Sir. An inspirational effort.

Hi, Everybody!

Holy Cow!  Thank you very much, everyone, for the incredibly kind comments!  You wouldn't believe how much they're appreciated right about now - it means a great deal to me.  As I'd suggested earlier, I've been putting in a couple of ~100 hour weeks trying to close the next major round of financing for our company, so I haven't had any time at all to hang around the forum.  Things were going extremely well, and we passed all of the "due diligence" process with flying colors, but the deal fell apart at the last minute thanks to a deteriorating relationship between the two lead investors.  Sigh. Sometimes, things are just beyond our control.

Thanks again, everyone!  Once again, I really appreciate how supportive you've been!

Warmest Wishes!

Hi Mark,
does that mean you have to go find new investors or does it mean you might have to sell the company?  best of luck (not to mention hard work) with the oh so important and hard to find thing called a job.  anyway, thank you for all of your efforts.

Good going Mark,

you really have done so much good for the Folding cause. My 2 modest computers are all I can muster right now. They try hard to crank out two WU's a day. Thanks again for your massive contribution

Hi, Gang!

I apologize that I've been gone so long!  In the aftermath of the funding falling apart, we've managed to round up a very tight bridge loan for the short term, and we're going back to the "other" lead investor hoping that we can still pull a rabbit out of the hat and keep everything going, while continuing to search for new investors.  Since we're hanging by our fingernails, this has obviously been a very high priority for me, and it's continuing to take an enormous amount of my time.

In the midst of all that, it still blows me away how kind everyone has been - THANK YOU!!!  I'll hopefully be able to get back to being able to contribute more often soon!

Have Fun!

Hi, Black Cat!

Yikes!  I've been so busy that I hadn't even noticed that I'm now among the Top 10 - Yahoo!!!  Finally!  It looks like I've topped out at #9, and it'll all be downhill from here.  While I'll apparently be passing one other individual, I'll get passed by someone else right about the same time.  From there, it'll just be a matter of waiting as each new "big gun" signs up for folding and blows me away!  All I can say is thanks to everyone who got me started folding (all of what, five or six months ago?) - it's been a blast!!!

Have Fun!

Well Done!
