Yarg this is so frustrating!  I just assembled and installed xp onto my new sk41g.  When the computer boots up it shows that I have a msi geforce 4 then does the standard boot up stuff blah blah blah.  However when windows loads up it detects a new "vga device" and tries to install drivers for it.  I chose to cancel the driver install and went to my computer, control panel, system, then the device manager.  Obviously this device was then listen under the various question mark "unknown" devices.  Now if i right click on that vga device and select properties it says its connectec to "pci bus 1" when i'm not using the gay onboard video.  I want it to detect that I have a agp card installed but it doesn't!  So frustrating why does it always thing the only display device I have is the onboard pci video?  I looked in the bios and there is no way to disable the onboard video (i did change the primary display device to agp from pci in the bios).  Can somebody help me out?  It's just really annoying how I have a great agp card but windows can only find the stupid onboard video.

I also just tried downloading the nvidia drivers from their site and installing that but since my computer thinks the display is on the pci bus even though my monitor is connected to agp card, when i restart windows nothing is diplayed out the agp card anymore because the drivers were put onto that stupid pci 1 bus.

Please don't use "gay" as an insult. It's offensive, unnecessary and juvenile.

Do you have the BIOS set to AGP as the initial display?

yea I do, someone helped me out with this in the hardware forum.  I came home one day and it finally detected the agp card, last thing i remember doing is installing some windows updates, maybe that did the trick.
