The temperature reading changed a few degrees. Warpspeed still does not overclock from windows but the voltage and measurements work fine.

No, they are both the same except for a Biostar boot logo.
BS has the logo while BF does not. I got the BS version.

Still trying to update my bios. Downloaded the suggested file, then unzipped it, and at this point became confused. Please help me through the rest of the way. This is my first bios upgrade. Appreciate all the help!

I hate raining on parades but... other than some temp reading changes, has the new BIOS improved or worsened anything of real value? SP/DIF input? (would be nice...) anything someone could notice?

My unit is quieter after the update. SPDIF -in is "No" because nVidia IGP/MCP-T itself doesn't have SPDIF in feature. If you want SPDIF-in, I suggest you SIS651 or Intel 865G for you.

Theres a utility on the CD that comes with the 200n called WinFlash that allows you to install a new bios from windows. I updated my bios that way and it worked fine. Quote

Mine's no quieter and the cpu temp went UP by several degrees.
The new bios DID solve a power down problem. Before it would simply reboot. Now it behaves nicely and actually turns the computer off.

My temp went WAY up -- like 10 degrees C... Before the BIOS update, it was running about 42 after it had been on for a while (with an ATI AIW 9800 Pro installed). Now it's running 51 to 52.
I'm wondering, though, if the BIOS change perhaps just made the temp readings more accurate? People were apparently quoting some hard-to-believe temps when the 200N first shipped.
At any rate, it's still stable. A little louder now, since it's hotter... The fans are running faster.

Most of the recent boards I've purchased seem to do that. They have wierd initial temps and then after a bios update are "corrected" to a higher number. The best way would be to use a temp probe or something like digi-doc5 to find out what the temp really is. I'm sure it's close enough right now, prolly within a degree or 2.

I tend to agree. My temps were and are the same as yours
