Ok... here is the deal....

I have my 200n connected using optical cable going from the back of the unit to my Sony reciever.  I have my XM radio simply connected using a 1/8 plug into the line-in port on the back of the 200n.  I do not have speakers connected directly to the 200n.

I hear the XM channeled through the 200n no problems with my receiver.  There are certain shows I like to record using SoundForge.  Whenever I start recording something... the sound shuts down from my receiver... however it does record the XM show.  Also.....  when it shuts down the optical port when its recording.... I still get sound coming from my headphone jack on the front and the line-out jack on the rear.

Anyone know the reason for the optical port to shut down whenever I am recording?  Both opticals (front and back) do this.  Its a tad annoying since I would like to stick to one output (the optical) to use for the 200n.  Now I need to use two and switch between the two.

Any suggestions?
