200n price drop soon? and ram question

What you guys think, think it will drop anytime soon? Would a 200n be able to take full advantage of my Hyper X 3500?

The nForce2 IGP is a notoriously bad overclocker. The graphics core integrated into the chipset imposes some limitations.

But...
The new bios allows 250mhz fsb so you have a good chance of maxing out that ram. Try it out and let us know how it goes

I just ordered some Buffalo DDR466 to try and go higher with mine. Anyone need some Corsair PC3200??

As for price, I'm thinking it will go down when the new series are released like the Athlon64 version etc.

Let me know how the Buffalo works out, I was going to order some but chickened out.  Who or where did you order from?  And is it Dual Channel?

I ordered from the AMBMB.com forums. There's a guy there called Marmaduke who buys a bunch of new bulk from buffalo and sells direct to forum users. He is generaly several dollars lower than places like newegg and has specials for free shipping etc. I ordered a 256 for $60 and a 512 for $102. He gave free shipping since I ordered 2 sticks which saved me like 10 or 12 bucks from newegg. He also says the lifetime warranty applies so all seems well. He has a TON of heatware with positive results so its pretty safe.

Special Dual Channel memory is a myth. I've used all sorts of wierd ram mixed and matched with no problems ever. I know some people have had issues but the "Dual Channel" label is just that, marketing hype to get more of your dollars. Basically they take memory modules that use the exact same  chips and call it "matched" or dual channel. I'm not rich and don't want to pay for words. A little research in the forums will tell you what is good and what is bad.

The ram this guy is selling is famous for its ability to work with nForce2 chipsets (winbond BH-5 and CH-5 memory chips).
