Hey guys,

Anyone need some good motherboards for cheap? I have the following I want to get rid of:

(4) Epox KL-133M Epox Specs They support 200FSB 1300 Athlon CPUs which you can pick up for next to nothing. These boards have built in sound and video, makes for a cheap folding system.

(1) Asus A7V133 v1.05 Asus Specs also supports 1300 CPUs

(1) 300 watt generic power supply

(1) Celeron 466MHz PPGA CPU/w 128KB L2 Cache FV524RX466

(1) 370 PGA Slot 1 to 370 converter card

Ideally I would like to sell the whole lot for $50 and free shipping anywere in the US. For a few extra bucks you should be able to put together 5 nice folding systems. I tested all of the parts but a few of the KL-133M boards but there should not be any issues as I bought them from mwave.com, but to be safe I dropped the price cheap so that if a board does not work you still got a sweet deal.

I can do paypal and ship tomorrow if someone is itching to get started.

BTW you have to fold the first unit for me once you get a system built! hehe

dlevens-
I would love to set up a farm, but were could I find Athlons for cheap? I've looked the usual places, for retail and OEM, but they're still in the $40 range.  Couldn't find anything used on a quick google search. Sooooo tempting!

gwimby,

mwave.com has 1300 durons for $34 link

not bad for 1.3Ghz

Check ebay and www.pricewatch.com for athlons and durons. I saw 700Mhz athlons for $18 on pricewatch. link

Gwimby,

For what it's worth, I have a Duron 1.2 that I fold on that is good for ~ 35 - 40 points per day. The 1.3 farm would make a very nice addition to your farm...and the team, of course.

Wow. Colin.

That many points from a 1.3. Thats cool. and definately worth putting into a farm.
But its assuming you get nice cores to fold right?
I remember the (s)tinker core average that was about 10 points per GHz per day.

Which reminds me. I fired up 7X750Mhz machines the other day for folding. They must be turning in points soon but my folding rate seems to have gone down in the last days.

Barton 3000 arrives tommorrow. 100 points per day? Should help to keep you off my back for an extra few days!!

Er Dennis.

I just realised that you are sitting at 8th place. Top Sante. Well done Sir.
You must have powered through the ranks during summer. I didn't even notice you go past me. (I blame the wedding) Although, come to think of it, I had a broken wing mirror in July. Was that you?
We should try and tempt our old folding friend wytco0 back.
Wytco0, are you listening?

I think my estimate was a tad high after checking it out, it's more 25 - 30. That's what happens when you have 40+ procs to keep track of.

Steve,

Yeah I flew by you back in the summer. I tried to stop for a visit but there was no one home I have been steadily adding more and more machines. I just gave up on the folding farm for now, hence the extra equipment. Seems like no one is interested though.

Hi all well I stop by here often to see whats going on but I dont post anymore. I do still contribute a few points to 10688 but most of my recent folding has been for 24. At the moment I have switched of my farm as I got fedup with the heat and electricity bills. I will continue to fold in a small way but I wont be overtaking anyone anymore.

hey wytco0...  team 24 rocks!  congrats on beating down the W[ H ]ordes...  W  is there because I wasn't sure I would be allowed to call them what I really wanted to call them

its cold here now.. so my machines keep me toasty warm   I only have 5 local machines though.. I suppose if I had 10-20 going in my small apartment I wouldn't have to run the furnace all winter..  but I would bet they aren't very energy efficient as heaters.
