The ICE is at the back, and it sucks air from the sides and the underneath, accross the components, through the grill, out out he back!

I think if you sucked in cool air at the back, the air at the front would not be moving (as your creating a little 'circuit' for the air; it will follow the path of air pressure), and dead air = BAD!

At least, this is how I understand it.

well i have an 80mm intake fan on my sk41g and a 70mm 1 in my sn41g2,i have to say if you have the ability to perform such a mod ude be crazy not to on these lil boxes, before i done mine my xp2400 (sk41g) temps idle were 50c sometimes but after i done the mod my temps went down over 10c,it rarely goes above 40c idle 44c load, and when you feel the air getting exhausted from the back of the case now its always cool where before it was hot.

think about it logically uve got an exhaust fan so it makes pure sence to also have an intake fan (if only more sff manufacturers would think of these things eh) to complement it,remember these 2 fans working together create a nice efficient steady stream of cool/recycled air to that toasty interior which imho counts for an awful lot!

thnx

Does anybody have access to a wind tunnel? My high school had a open access tech lab if you're buddy buddy with the teacher . But I graduated four years ago so my leeching expired some time ago. The best solution instead of faulty diagrams is to run it through with some smoke and see where air is being drawn from and laying stagnant.

Green marks proposed fans. The one at the top will blow air out, and the one at the front will suck air in.

Surely if the overall airflow follows the yellow arrows then all is well.

If the intake sucked in more air than couldbe extracted by the two blowing fans, then cool air wouldbe pushed out ofthe vent holes and the whole thing would crap up.

BUT, like fathead says, surely if the exhaust pumped more than the intake gathered, then cool air would be sucked in the vent holes, and the airflow would be good, leaving no dead air.

I also wanna use a zalman northbridge cooler, so having moving air up front would be benneficial.

Fathead: Does a fan actually fit at the front on the right (like on the diagram)?

m8 im using pretty much the same layout.

i have a external 120mm fan at the rear and two cool masters

only pics i have atm:

top fan is exhaust

side is a blowhole
