Has anyone used this system? i am using Mandrake 9.2 and fancied a change and was hoping someone on here could give their opinion on it....

The easiest thing to do is just give it a try and see what you think. Fortunately the lightweight window managers are pretty easy to use.

i installed it, bit i don´t really how it works/how to make it work..... any tips, i am currently browsing fluxbox.sourceforge.net, but any quick hints, still a bit of a linux noob..

once you have it compiled, all you gotta do is make a file in your home dir called ".xinitrc" if it's not there already. in that file, simply put: "fluxbox &" (no quotes), and badabing! you'll be running a lean WM.

also, if you want to load up apps by default when starting fluxbox, just put the app name before the fluxbox entry.

Cheers, had it running for a few days now - love it! Really quick, looks quite cool too......
Off topic, i´ve also downloaded the Crossover Plugin by Codeweavers - allowing Quicktime, Flash and Shockwave players to work in Mozilla etc. - another superb piece of kit..
