That means the current high bidder already had a higher bid than yours. The only way to tell what his actual bid is is bid more than his actual bid.

I don't recall what the price is for a new one. Something in the $50 range I think. I have seen used ones advertised recently in this forum for $35.

oh i know. i bid my max and got outbid. i don't really need an upgrade so much as i'd get one on the cheap if i could.
