Is there anything you guys would recommend using as a cooling alternative to the heatpipe? would a Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu fit in a SB61G2 with no problems for example?

AFAIK no. You can cut the drive cage to fit one of those in, buts its not a pretty sight.

The enourmous Thermalright copper heatsinks (cant remeber the exact model number) DO fit, and are amazingly effective, so I understand.

You could also slap a 120mm or larger fan on the back (some guy once used a 250mm AC fan I think!!!), for very impressive cooling.

thanks for the reply.. so would it be better if I got an slk900u with a fan on top of that, and a 92mm(or larger) fan as an exhaust fan?
