EDIT NUMBER TWO: HEY GUYS! I JUST added a Blue Cold Cathode to my MESH window.  It adds a cool effect Check it out!

------------------------------------
I will post how I did it later.  Took me about 3 hours and about $12 instead of spending $56 on the Mesh cover from Shuttle!  Check it out!

**EDIT**
Ok here is how I did it.
1) Went to my local TARGET and bought a CHEAP $5.99 Trash Can made of SILVER MESH
2) Went to Home Depot and got a $2.50 Can of Black Spray Paint and some Double Sided Tape ($2.00)
3) Cut my window with a measurement of 8 1/2" Horizontally and 5 1/2" Vertically with a NIBBLER
4) Cut the Silver Mess to a size of 9" Horizontally and 6" Vertically
5) Spray Painted the Silver Mesh on both sides.  Put on about 3 coats.  Dried while I was using the Nibbler to cut the Window
6) Sanded down the edges and added rubber lining ( THIS STUFF)
7) Put the MESH down and stuck it to the double sided tape and held it down a good 2 minutes until it was stuck there.  I put double sided tape in each corner and in between to make sure it stays.

Well, it's a little louder, (barely) and the results are good.  CPU Idles 2C lower, now at 50C.  Under load it's the same as before at about 55C.  PSU is also about 2C lower now at about 48-49C.  Case/Board temps are are now 4C lower at about 36C.    I recently changed out the Antec 80mm Blow Hole fan I had and installed a COOLERMASTER 80MM Blue LED fan and it really lights up the case nicely.  Enjoy!

Thanks  Just editing the message with updated instructions.  And I saved about $50 doing it myself instead of getting the Shuttle one.

PerfectCR I admired the blow hole you did previously.
This mesh project is also very well done.
Keep up the good work.

Great work, as usual .  Now if only we could figure out how to make a nice looking mesh which protrudes just enough for the zalman....

starts thinking.

Yeah that would be nice, although the fan on FX5900 is not that loud so for me it's not an issue.  I am not a quiet freak.

Looks excellent. I'm waiting for my rubber edging to show up - ordered it late last week.

Very very clean mod. It shows the inside of the case much better than Shuttle's mesh cover. I like it. Would be cool if you could add leds to the video card somewhere, but that's just my own opinion.

I don't think I know the difference.  If you have a Target near you it's the MESH office set they sell.  The can, the document holder, etc...

Definitely.  The blowhole seems to be more efficient now too.

I am not sure actually.  I bought about 10 feet of it last year and still had enough left over for the Mesh Window Mod.  It's cheap so I'd say get 5 Feet just to have Get a minimum of 2 Feet though just to be safe and have some left over.

PerfectCr, ignore my last post on another thread about the mesh cover - this one tells all.  Did you put the mesh on both sides?

Nah.  Just the side I look at.    I think if I open up the other side it might ruin the airflow through the case.  I doubt the temps would drop any lower anyway.

That's pretty interesting but sounds like it makes sense.  I just wanna show off the video card anyways and really only see that side of the case, I might go one sided stye, you've started a new trend, well maybe.
