Hello,

I will be using an ATI All in Wonder 9800 Pro video card in my next computer, and want to have at least two hard drives. I was leaning toward a Shuttle, but I think it might just get too hot without lots of mods, and possibly lots of noise. I'd like to use two 7200 RPM Samsung drives (no WD Raptors). Will the Soltek 3801 A stay cool enough with this video card/drive combination?

Thanks!

If anyone has any good links about this Soltek (especially noise/temperature) please share.

I don't think the current shuttles will hold two drives...well, unless you take out the 6in1 card reader on the sn85g4, (figure thats the one you were lookin at since you are looking at the 3801).

I too am in the market for such a sff...nforce3 250 chipset...but hoping that shuttle puts one out SOOON!!!

Either...I would use an external Firewire box to house a nice big drive for backup, files and capture purposes.

Really, for a RAID box, I would recommend an Antec Aria case as it holds 3 HDDs...no floppy slot though.

Not sure...I'm no RAID expert, never used it myself.

I imagine you could also use a QBIC rig, but with only one optical drive.
