i put a gforce fx5200 in my new ideq 200vb (200v in black) and it runs pretty hot, i think it might be the video card, it requires a 250w minimum power supply/300w recommended,  will this card burn out my power supply or do any other damage?

does anyone else use this card in there 200v?

is there after market/ upgrade power supplys for these systems?

Don't worry about those requirements.  I use a fx 5700 which "requires " above a 250w power supply also, and its a more power consuming card then the 5200.   I have had absolutely no problems caused by the power supply after using the card (at least a month now).  Take these "requirements" with a grain of salt.  I have read posts that people use radeon 9800 pro's in the 200n (same power supply as the 200v).
I dont know what you mean by very hot, but i would reccomend performing the "Zalman mod" or any way of getting some more air in the case.  My problem is that my video card fan is bieng suffocated by my sound card, and i will post how i fixed that a bit later.  Good luck

my system seems to run really hot, mainly the power supply, with this card installed. whats the zalman mod? i want a fanless cooler for my card, but i dont have much room, my card is also sufficated by a wireless lan card in the pci slot. i've just been leaving that side of my case off.

I have an FX5200 as well, and you're right - it makes the machine a little hotter, and thus louder (via the PSU's fan heat sensor).  I think the card cuts off airflow a little bit, as well as adding a little heat to the machine.  The PSU is definitely up to spec, though.  You don't need any power to run a 5200 card.
