For those of you who are interested in Apple/Mac products, we have launched an Apple@Sudhian section. There was quite a lot of feedback for a section like this with the rise(?) of Apple products lately such as OSX, iTunes, iPod etc. New Apple Section

Actually, the new apple extreme mini-basestation seems to me the best way to wire a shuttle for 80211g aka airport-extreme.
You don't need to lose your sole PCI slot, nor do you need to worry about USB ports. Just plug the sucker to a wallplug and plug in the ethernet cable.

Thanks for the heads up on this one....for some reason I missed it when looking at my usual review sites. This is definitely something I'm going to pick up to go along with my soon to be purchased sff .

to be honest, i think that a proportion of people who have bought shuttles - not a majority - have bought them due to aesthetics, inspired or not by Apple's machines. After using mac's all my life, i became interested in gaming, and therefore a pc would server me better in this sense, but the majority of pc's are ugly, and those that try not to be are just to 'flashy' for my liking! Thanks Jasper for the Apple section, if only for me to see what other people using pc's that look good think of stuff in the mac scene

No problem, there was a ton of interest to have this section created.
Digikid - it's an apple@sudhian section not @SFF

G4 cube was the first true quiet SFF system. Had zero fans. Current upgrades to the cube require fans, but you can now have a G4 @ 1.42Ghz in it and it has always been able to handle 1.5G of ram (although only PC100 SDRAM). Plus remember the Apple Cinema display which a fwe of us use on our Intel/AMD systems is an apple product

Assuming the flamers can keep to themselves -- a big assumption -- I think it's a good idea. From iPods to portables to networking, there are probably more than a few Apple users here.
