I still see people saying don't touch vdimm. Please can someone who has upgraded to the latest "M" BIOS say that they have had the same problem? As soon as I got my Shuttle, I upgraded the BIOS and have changed that setting a few times, nothing happened. I am running at default now, but I did run it at 2.7v for a while when I had some faulty DIMMs.
Everyone I've seen who's upgraded to the latest BIOS, with the v2.0 board says that changing the vdimm was okay. I'm not expecting anyone to risk trashing their system, but we do need to put a seal on this issue.

Yes, the problem isn't solved yet. My second died SN45 V2 was xxxM Upgraded, the Vdimm was at 2.75v, works fine, I began to OC it, changing Fsb after some boots, when changed Vcore, my board died. In the first one, Vdimm modified too, died after changing a fan speed, playing with fsb too.
Since my experience, changing Vdimm don't kill the SN45 v2 immediately, but a random change after, maybe.
In my third SN45v2 I'm sure I'll not touch Vdimm anymore. I think a bios update will not solve this issue.
SN45 V2+Change Vdimm+OC= too risky of killed board.

Just a note to all that read this:
THE PROBLEM WITH VDIMM IS NOT BIOS RELATED
Its a problem with the new hardware that has been used with the revision 2. The only way to fix the VDIMM problem is for Shuttle to release a new revision motherboard, or to replace the dodgy component on the V2 motherboard.

What Fathead is saying is true, once n for all its a hardware problem not a bios fault. Mess with the VDimm and you stand to lose use of your machine. Thats why new versions of the bios took out the option to change this setting. V1 is popularly reported as ok to adjust, but I would assume you are limited to a certain bios to have this option.
The thread was started in February but the info still stands just the same now.
