ok, i was thinking of the small things that could cool down my computer, about now i have about 8'C down on paper... looking for more

undervolting, if i go to low i can lose stabilty i know that.... and i know how to test it, but i was wondering, if i should go TOO low, that the computer will not boot, now when people say 'not boot', do they mean the OS or it wont even POST?!?!

i dont want to undervolt so low that it wont post, i can live with not going to the OS, because i can always change it...

thx alot guys...

also, i am running a 2500+ barton in a SN45G(V1)... i was wondering what temperature differance(on average) i can see?

here the rest of the mods if ur wondering

AS5
Grill cut out
Lapping(maybe)
PSU fan on the inside to force air out
NB cooling
Ramsinks on the Mosfets
plexiglass case with 60mm fans(quiet) on each side and on the top...
different fan on the back... the TTSF2 is too much... i didnt see that much of a difference from stock i think i got a bad motor, i put comm drops, new bearings, tried alot, still no luck...(yes i do put comm drops in all my motors to make them faster )

thanks again,

When I undervolt I usually drop by .05 volts at a shot until the OS wont boot or encounters errors during or immediately after boot.  It has been my experience that the BOIS will post long after the OS wont boot or starts to encounter errors.  What most often happens is that the BIOS will post, the Windows flash screen will come up, then the computer will either automatically restart or it will stop with an error message of some kind.  Often, the error message will read that a file is corrupt or missing.  Don't go reinstalling Windows, though, 'cause it's just an instability issue.  When you up the Vcore Windows will boot fine.  Where I have been unable to get the BIOS to post is with overclocking, requiring the BIOS to be reset back to defaults.  Mine has a reset on the outside, making it very easy to do.  Most systems have an internal jumper, though.

Once I start running into OS errors I will slowly, one increment at a time, start to raise the Vcore until Windows boots fine.  Then onto Prime95.  My BIOS has increments of .0125 Vcore, your's may differ.  If you want to play it a little safer and help to avoid a BIOS that wont post, just lower the Vcore on step at a time at the lowest increment your BIOS offers.  Let Windows load, then open a couple programs to see if you get any errors or an auto reboot.  If not, then keep lowering one step at a time until you do.
