Hi

I have a Biostar 200T at the moment with a Geforce 5900 FX Ultra looking to upgrade to an X800 XT graphic card.  But I have a few questions before i buy one.

1. Will a X800 XT work ok in a Biostar 200 T?

2.  Will  a Hightech Excalibur ATI Radeon X800 XT Iceq II fit into a biostar 200T as it take up 2 slots in stead of one.  Also will the side go back on with this graphic card in, with out any modification being made to the side?

Thanks

ATI X800 samples are on the way to my office.  I will definitely try that on all our models with 200W and 250W PSU.
FYI, FX 6800 ultra runs fine on 200T.

If your looking to get rid of your Geforce 5900 FX Ultra you might have a buyer here.

Hi iDEA

How it possible to run a Fx6800 Ultra in a biostar 200T do you have your own personal Power generator LOL in your biostar.  I thought they needed a min of 480w power supply to run it so I heard.  That why I am looking at ATi X800 XT cards. Does that Inc a hdd and DVD drive connected as well? Also it that on the standard power supply you get with your bio star? Running the Fx6800 ultra.

If it a standard power supply and you are having no problems running the Fx6800 Ultra, I might be tempered to buying a NVIDIA card depend on the prices and the availability in the UK :-(

NVIDIA is full of shit. They run fine in Shuttles with 250W SilenX PSUs, althought they don't actually fit inside the chassis LOL

How is it going? I'm curious to hear how the 200W power supply holds up with that card.

Questions:

Does the fan in the 200W iDEQ power supply run at a constant speed, or does fan speed vary with power     supply load?

How the does fan in the new 250W PSU behave, constant or varied?

Interesting review on ATi X800 in Tom's Hardware Guide here:

Particularly the section on system power consumption here:

Our ATI X800 pro samples work very well in all iDEQ models.  I will try to post some testing scores here...

So is anyone running an x800 in a 200T?
If so is the  increase noticable?
