I don't exactly see what to jump. But the thought of a 1.42GHz Mac mini for $499 doesn't sound too bad

After checking the article again I noticed the author edited the story. They are not jumpers... they are resisters that have to be de-soldered. I guess he figured "Resistor/jumper - their the same..." WTF was he thinking when he wrote it? LOL

man I wish I knew someone who could solder mobo's!
I wonder if 1.5 + wasn't stable because of heat or if it had something
to do w/ that 5th resistor he couldn't find. Or it coulda been the chip just
couldn't do that much I suppose....

Oh, OK, then they are not so small You have to be crazy to be desoldering resistors from such a complex system! I wonder how he got to find out what taking those resistors out did!

has anyone done this mod yet? I have heard from one guy that did a 1.42>1.5 that it is stable but i'd like other input.  If apple doesn't revamp teh mini to a 1.67ghz model by august, i will get the 1.42 and oc it to 1.5

I was on a mac forum last week, and the mini overclocking seems to have matured a bit.
Seems like even 1.25>1.5 is fairly common.
I think replacing the thermal compound w/ arctic silver and making sure it contacts the
cpu and gpu fully are really helping people out.
