IDEQ 210P issues

Does the IDEQ 210P support a 1600 MHz HT link? The newegg description of the item said it did; however, I can no longer find a reference to the HT support on Biostar's website. The BIOS has the options 1x-5x, and I chose 5x, but I have the sneaking suspicion that this means a HT of 1000 MHz. I have a AMD 3700+ with 1M L2 cache installed the chip supports a HT of 1600 MHz.
Also, I am having problems with the front USB ports. When I have my SanDisk mini cruzer inserted during bootup, the bootup stalls until I remove the cruzer. If I insert the mini cruzer while the system is running, it automatically powers off. I do not have any of these problems if I plug the cruzer in the back USB ports.
Here are the specs of the system:
- IDEQ 210P with the original BIOS (I did not update it since the changes made to newer the newer versions do not apply to my CPU.
- AMD64 3700+ CPU with L2 cache
- 2x OCZ 1GB PC3200 DIMMS
- WD 74GB 10k RPM SATA HD
- old Pioneer DVD-ROM drive
- 1 floppy drive (instead of the card reader)
- ASUS Gforce4 MX-440 graphics card
- XP Pro SP2 with all latest patches from windows update applied

ARe there any jumper settings that need to be configured before using the front usb ports? I remember the manual saying soemthing about setting a jumper to use the front ports. I haven't tried using the front ports yet as I'm still installing stuff. Now if I can ever get my 9800 Pro to work in this thing, I'll be happy.

I don't think so. Looking in the manual I find 2 jumpers related to USB. The first is the Power source selection for USB Keyboard/Mouse. The second is Power Source selection for USB. I am using the default values.

The default setting in the bios is 4 x HT for 1600Mhz HT bus speed. As for the USB problem, weird but I am sure I have heard of something similar on these forums where something being plugged in to the front USB ports was causing it to shut down... Try a search and also go through your bios and see if there is anything in there that may affect it. You could also try turning off the Boot from other devices as this would stop it from looking at the USB flash key...
