anybody know of any coldcathode lights (4inches) that dont need a PCI slot? ive looked around and i thing i found one but im not sure if it uses it for a power button or something or not..thanks

Well, they don't NEED a PCI slot.

Do what I did, unscrew the switch from the PCI bracket, voila, no need for the slot now.  You can then either use the original switch, and cut a small hole in your case for it, or buy a new switch of your choice and mount that somewhere.  Or just leave the switch inside and hidden.  I don't even use the switch, I just let them come on and off with the computer.

In other words, the PCI slot is just to hold the power switch.
