Friend of mine is moving to Tampa for graduate school.  Was just curious what people thought of the area.  How are the people?  How's the wether? (I mean is the summer pretty much like 110F all the time or what?)  Do store suck in the area?  Are ther cool local places to eat or just like chain food places?  How's traffic?  You know, that type of crap.

Tampa:
right in the middle of tampa is just like any other city.
once you get out of the city its not as busy.

rushhour anywhere near tampa is bad.

Fl:
i love it, i'm 3 hours south of tampa.

a little cold front came in the other day so its in the 70s atm.

Yeah, it's a great state.  Just a couple of things to be warned about in advance.

1.  Hurricanes
2.  Killer swarms of Mosquitos
3.  Gators
4.  Snakes
5.  Quicksand
6.  Rabbid mice singing brain rotting disney tunes
7.  Lots and lots of old people
8.  Lord Zim on a rampage (hehe.  Just kidding)
9.  Tornados and Lightning a plenty

And that's just for starters.

Oh yeah, those little buggers.  Forgot all about them because most of them got wiped out in our state.  Mosquitos on the other hand are a whole different story up here.  While you have them in quantity, we have them in quality and size.  How do you think we provide our own air defence for our state?    They don't call the Mosquitos up north the "UP Air Force" for nothing.
